SARA sponsors the Schuylkill County Emergency Service Net (SCESN). The SCESN is a member of the National Traffic System at the local level. The purpose of the net is for emergency prepardness and traffic handling. It is a directed net, so comments should not be made unless directed by net control. All amateurs are welcome - you don't have to be a member to check into the net. The net meets weekly on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. on 145.370 (PL 123.0hz). In the event of problems with 145.370 (PL 123.0hz), the net will move to 147.345.

SARA ARES Net  The Amateur Radio Emergency Service® (ARES) consists of licensed amateurs who have voluntarily registered their qualifications and equipment for communications duty in the public service when disaster strikes.
